A lot. But I’m not sure I could handle this level of slowness.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I’ve always thought one of these would make a cool project tho. I could swap in a 1.9l ALH motor, or a VR6, or I could go BlaspHemi style and swap a Honda B18C1 in it.
Also the last three cars I’ve found on CL that I’ve liked enough to actually consider buying have gotten sold before I could go look at them. a 90 Volvo 240, a 72 240z, an E39.

1 the sound! the ALH has that classic dugdugdugdugdug chatter that you want from a manual.
2 the mod-ablity
3 price point
4 my brother in law has an 02 TDI Jetta so he already has all the silly specialized tools for it haha

I know the CR motors take reasonable well to tunes. I can see price point.
noise: i think the modern ones sound like a diesel. maybe not QUITE as loud as a ALH, but nothing an exhuast cant fix.
ah. Having tools makes sense

Heh, I've got a spare JH from a Scirocco lying around, and I've toyed with the idea of putting that in a pickup. Sure, it's not all that powerful, but with how little they weigh, it would probably still be quite decently quick.
